NovaCover.online operates as a free insurance comparison partner and recommendation reseller platform. Because we do not collect payments or sell policies directly, we do not handle refunds ourselves. However, here is what you need to know about cancellations and refunds with our partner carriers.
Our Service is Free
Using our search, rate estimates, and comparison charts is completely free. We do not ask for card details or process payments on our servers, so there are no transaction fees to refund from our side.
Partner Refund Policies
If you purchase an insurance policy from one of our partner carriers (such as Lemonade or Pumpkin) and decide you want to cancel it, you must contact that carrier directly. Each company handles refunds according to their own terms:
- Free Look Period: Most states require insurers to offer a free look period (typically 10 to 30 days). If you cancel within this window, you get a full refund of all premiums paid, provided no claims have been filed.
- Prorated Refunds: If you cancel after the free look window, you are usually entitled to a prorated refund of any unused premium, minus any administrative or cancellation fees.
- Processing Times: Refund processing is managed by the carrier and typically takes 5 to 15 business days to return to your original payment card.
